A European Network

Today, ESN brings together more than 520 local sections across 42 countries, helping thousands of students every year make the most of their exchange experience.

ESN operates on three different levels: local, national and international. As the local section of the network, ESN Oviedo is run entirely by student volunteers who organize activities, provide support and create opportunities for international students to integrate into university life and experience the very best of Asturias.

Beyond organizing events, ESN promotes international mobility, intercultural understanding and active citizenship. We believe that studying abroad is much more than an academic experience—it is an opportunity to grow personally, build lifelong friendships and discover new cultures.

ESN Oviedo

ESN Oviedo is the local section of the Erasmus Student Network in Asturias, supporting international students at the University of Oviedo. Our team is made up of student volunteers who help incoming students settle in, meet new people and make the most of their Erasmus experience.

Throughout the semester, we organize a wide range of activities. At the beginning of each semester, we also organize our Welcome Weeks, filled with activities designed to help newly arrived international students meet each other and start building friendships from their very first days in Asturias.

We also create practical Survival Guides with useful information about the University of Oviedo, transportation, local life and everything students may need before and during their stay.

Through our Buddy Programme, international students can be matched with an ESN volunteer who can answer their questions, offer guidance and support them during their arrival and Erasmus experience.
